Today, October 6th 2020, the Elrond team came out with good news: there will be new staking possibilities soon!
There will be a staking queue to immediately fill any gap that is created by someone else unstaking. At Viastake, we like to seize this opportunity to reserve eGLD staking spots for our customers. It will come down to this:
1. You can delegate exact multiples of 2,500 eGLD with Viastake
2. Viastake will join the eGLD staking queue on your behalf, and run nodes on standby that will instantly take any staking spots that become available
3. No fees will be charged in the staking queue, so you will receive the full rewards as described in the Elrond blog post (phase 2, APR limited to 20% max)
4. As soon as a spot opens, your investment will leave the queue and will be used as actual stake for our node(s)
5. In the actual staking phase, Viastake will take 15% of the staking rewards (currently ~ 36%, implying ~ 30.6% APR on your investment)
6. Your rewards will be credited to your eGLD address every 7-10 days
7. Whenever you desire, you can undelegate and we will return your investment and remaining rewards after 10-15 days (unbonding)

As an official Elrond genesis launch partner, Viastake has run 13 nodes since the genesis of the Elrond mainnet on July 30th 2020.
Every single node has had an availability of more than 99.95% and average APR has been 36.2%.
(This actual APR is even higher than the theoretical APR of 36% due to a little luck that’s related to the randomness in the eligibility of nodes in the Elrond network.)
